As a result of the 73rd amendment of the Constitution, there is a provision for the implementation of 29 subjects (11th schedule of the Constitution) of all economic development and social justice through Panchayats. According to the provisions made in the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Act, 1993, the implementation and activities of Panchayat Raj institutions are implemented in the state. There are 27 district panchayats, 146 janapad panchayats and 11664 gram panchayats established under three-tier Panchayatraj institutions in the state.
